The next BrisStyle Indie Designers Market is fast approaching and I'm looking forward to showing off my latest range of bags and hand towels. If you're heading to the Winter Racing Carnival at Eagle Farm on 5 June, why not stop by St Augustine's on Racecourse Road to check out some of the fantastic handcrafted goodies created by members of the BrisStyle team.

The market runs from 9am to 2pm - here's just a little sample of the talented artists, crafters and artisans who will be selling their wares at the market.

Great night at the BrisStyle Indie Twilight Market

Last night I attended my first market in many, many years and what a great time I had!

Lots of fabulous BrisStylers with their gorgeous handmade treasures, lots of shoppers, great music - what more could I ask for??

Thanks to everyone who gave me their ideas for my display - I decided to make my upstyled army bags the centrepiece of the display but the hanging hand towels were certainly the star attraction last night. I'll be re-thinking my layout for the next market, when I'll have a lot more room to play with.

Anyhoo, I promised a set of hanging hand towels for my April competition..... and the winner (selected by a random draw) is.... CARMEL, who made comment number five and wisely nominated the towels to be the featured product.  Congratulations Carmel, I'll contact you directly to discuss your prize.

I'll pop back in a couple of days with details of Kerri's Hangups' May competition.

Sneak Peek - new goodies for BrisStyle Twilight Markets

Here's a little preview of some sweet little box pouches I've been working on for the first-ever BrisStyle Indie Twilight Market this Friday (30 April).  These pouches are the perfect size for cosmetics, coins or even to carry your doggie treats and bags while out for a stroll.  The clip means you can attach them to your bag, key chain or belt loop.  These are just a few of the styles I'll have available at the market.

If you're in Brisbane, why not pop along to King George Square from 5pm on Friday - all your favourite BrisStylers will be there with lots of handmade treasures.

p.s. don't forget to enter my competition (just scroll down!) to win a pair of hanging hand towels.

To market, to market.... but what to sell? Ideas needed!

So I'm off to my first market in over 15 years on 30 April (BrisStyle's twilight market in King George Square, Brisbane) and I'm quite excited.

Because I'm just dipping my toe back into the market scene, I've opted for a small space for my stall, so really need to decide which of my products to make the centrepiece of the display.

Mother's Day will be just around the corner, so I'm wondering whether my bags, hand towels or cushions should take centre stage.

I would really appreciate some suggestions - if you'd like to leave a comment below with your ideas, I'll randomly select one entrant on 1 May to win a set of hanging hand towels (in your choice of colour).

Thanks ----  and Good Luck!

Fuchsia pink and chocolate brown - a true match made in heaven

Here's a little looksie at the bag won by Alexandra, who chose fuchsia pink and chocolate brown as her 'match made in heaven' colours. This beautiful cotton fabric has a whole range of colourful flowers set on a chocolate brown background, but fuchsia is definitely the star of the show.

I hope you like it Alex - it will be on its way to you in Ireland as soon as the post office opens after the Easter break.

Stay tuned for my April giveaway - details will be up in the next few days.
